Thank you for turning me on to this site. However...I have a problem with science sometimes and in this case I am speaking of the article on psoriasis. One of my personal guru's is Bernard Jensen, the founder of Iridology in this country. He cured many people of this and it all thru diet. Cleansing, fasting with nutritious broths and cutting out all white and refined flour products which is the major cause.
It seems to me science is always trying to find a cure or a reson why someone cant do something for themself. Its a dumbing down of our intelligence and trying to erase cause and effect and personal self responsibility. Like man just keep eating all those things that are bad for you just give me all your money and I ll keep you psoriasis free for the rest of your life like a dependent geek. And hey you want somemore money to pay for your perscriptions , why hell yes as long as I get my price.

Oh yes and about genes. We make our genes. And those with ancestors who ate lots of flour and porkand sugar and passed on their genes well boo hoo but the way to end the cycle is not with a drug which by the way stays as a mar on the iris also forever noting that a person put this chemical monster obstruction in their system, the way out is the usual hard way by change and with will power and the courage to be different

Mary Anne, I hear what you're saying, and I tend to agree. Admittedly, we currently focus a great deal of our news and editorial on conventional medical practices and modern science. Although, I have promoted yoga and meditation in some of my columns, and I'd like to write a report on the benefits of fasting. Hopefully we can do more of this in the future.

That being said, the type of radical improvement that we're talking about on the site is in fact going to be facilitated by powerful new technologies. The changes to the human condition won't be subtle, not the kind of changes that would be instigated by diet or other "natural" remedies.
